Bluetooth wireless Android Auto Controls

by Scooblitz on Sat Nov 21, 2020 2:23 pm

Hello

First project and looking for advice.

I have purchased an adafruit bluefruit le in the hopes to use this in making a battery powered set of button controls for use with android auto on a smart phone.

The buttons I have are from an old bmw and uses a CAN bus system to communicate with the cars ecu.

I am hoping to piggy-back off these and for the bluefruit le to understand a signal from the buttons and send a signal to the phone to change track, volume up, enter etc.

I am complete novice and not even sure my plan is possible.

Any thoughts welcome.
