Make a Bluetooth button that dials number?

Post by DIYglenn »

Hi.
I’m starting what hopefully will be a quick and simple project; Use an Adafruit BLE device to create a Bluetooth button calls a specific number or contact. Kinda like an emergency call button.

It’s for a garage door which requires you to call a number to open, and they to not allow garage door openers. The idea is to make a button that be installed in a blind panel in the car, and activate a BLE board.
It should be able to have two connections, and/or a primary/secondary user if possible. (If both owners are in the car at the same time).

One done such a project or similar? Which hardware would be best?

I’ll probably hook it up to a 12V->5V USB adapter.
