Uniquely Identify Bluefruit Feather

by ssworks on Fri Sep 11, 2020 8:33 pm

Hi,

I have several Bluefruit Feathers programmed with the same sketch I wrote in the Arduino IDE. When my mobile app is scanning for peripherals and finds one of my Feathers, is there a way to identify exactly which Feather it has found? Is there some kind of permanent fingerprint on the Feather that can be detected in iOS/Swift and Android/Kotlin code that no one could program into another Feather? Something only the chip maker could program into the chip? I don't want my apps to recognized clone hardware that someone else has created.

Thanks!

Steve

You can use Deviceid as chip serial number like this
