Is the MAX31856 able to work with an ESP8266 to connect to? I see it works with Arduino board.

https://www.adafruit.com/product/3263 is the MAX31856

Should work fine. There is Arduino support for the ESP8266.

Hi

This is my first post.

I have tried for a few days now to connect a MAX31856 board to a Wemos d1 r1 ESP8266 development board with no success. If I use the same code for arduino UNO it works just fine. I am using Adafruit_MAX31856 Library and running the example within the library.

When the sketch starts I get 'Thermocouple Type: Unknown' and then the reading is -0.01

I have tried connecting to Pins: Chip Select (CS) to D10, MOSI to D11, MISO to D12 and clock (CLK) to D13 sketch will not upload
(tried uploading with no connections with response as above.

I have also tried after searching the net : Chip select (CS) to D10, MOSI to D7 (D11), MISO to D6 (D12) and clock (CLK) to D5 (D13) sketch loads but same response.
(see pics)
Can anybody help?

Pins designations are D7 with D11 in brackets etc. I dont understand why?

@Lenk54 Please start a new thread for your issue. Even if it seems related to this one, different issues can have different specifics and keeping things in separate threads helps a lot. Thanks.
