BLE Board Question

by silverstar on Sun Apr 25, 2021 12:55 pm

I am attempting to learn about BLE. I would like to build a small sensor as a learning tool. I have looked at whats available and am thinking that my best place to start is with the Adafruit #4062 Feather nRF52480. Comments and/or suggestions?

If you like to work with sensors, check the Sense options:

Considering that I have experience with the Arduino and the IDE but no experience with BLE. Is this a good starting point?

Yes. Bluetooth can be tricky, but if you use it with a phone or computer as host it is not too difficult. If you want the devices to communicate peer2peer it's a lot harder as you need to set up BT host on the board, but the nRF52's also have radio-mode which is better suited for easy peer2peer communication.
