CELL LOCATION SIM5320 FONA3G

Post by VidaTrack »

Hello, im trying to use the cell location commands that the datashhet from the SIM5320 provides, but with each try i get an ERROR message,im trying to use them via USB.
Im wondering if there is a command setup to allow the AT+CASSIST xxx to be excecuted.

Thank you for your support

UPDATE

I have seen in some forums that some AT doesnt work depending on the firmware

i have the 1575B12SIM5320A
could this be the reason?

I'm afraid we've never tried using that set of commands.

What commands are you using now?

Hmm.. I don't know of any version-specific commands, but anything is possible with cell devices.

The usual way to test for the existence of a command is with this syntax:

AT+CASSISTLOCMODE=?

Does that return anything other than an error?

I´ve checked all of the "?" commands, and all seems to be ok, the Cassistloc worked once and them it stoped, but now im trying to use the GPS commands but im only getting this response: ,,,,,,,,,,,, when i try the at+cgpsinfo, obviously having setting the At+cgps=1.

I'm afraid I don't have any other suggestions. It's possible that the cell towers don't support the signals that command wants to use.
