How to combine FONA and VS1053-MP3-player without distortion Moderators: adafruit_support_bill, adafruit

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble connecting the VS1053-MicroSD module and the FONA(SIM800H) to the same speakers without getting a distorted (or no) sound.
I tried it in many ways already: Amplifier on player and combining the FONA signal before or after the amplifier, mono/stereo amp's and sound etc. etc.
The player needs an Amplifier, but the FONA can do without when I test them separately.
The problem is in combining the two signals. I already tried using CD4066-chips to divide the signals, but that dims the sound
and I still get distortion on the speakers from the module on the FONA.
Does anyone have experience in combining these two modules and found a good way to make it work ???
