Maximum data sent to IO with 8266

by Morane on Sun Jan 07, 2018 10:00 pm

Hi

I have a setup where my Arduino Mega is reading several sensors and sent it to a ESP8266-12S
by the serial port (TX pin). Then the Huzzah 8266 is sending it to my dashboard at IO Adafruit.

I found that if I send too much data, my 8266 crashed

****short version of the crash message**********

Exception (28):
ets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,7)

load 0x4010f000, len 1264, room 16
tail 0
chksum 0x0f
csum 0x0f
~ld

****end/ short version of the crash message**********

I need to send data to 12 feeds on my dashboard but it start crashing
after 9 feeds

The data look like the following

Feed name data

L1 99
M1 9999
L2 99
M2 9999
M3 9999
F3 99
E4 9
A4 99
T2 99

That's the maximum data I can send. If I try to add a feed
or one digit more in one of these feeds, it crash.

What is the maximum size of data I can send and /or
can I send my data in two parts ?

6 feeds in one shot and then the other 6 feeds.

If it's possible to do it in two parts, how do I do that ?

Thanks

Morane
