Adafruit.IO Data storage

by PaulThBrit on Wed Jan 10, 2018 7:17 pm

Hi - I am working on a small IoT home project to monitor Temperature/Humidity once every five minutes at a remote location. I am interested in this service but the way I see it the free service only stores data for a year. I would like to see data for at least one, preferably two years so I can monitor seasonal variation and energy used. The plus service seems to only store data for 60 days.

Am I reading this correctly? I understand I can always download the data but I want to use the dashboards and access the data from anywhere for analysis.

Thanks. Looking forward to learning more about this great service.

Paul.

My free plan control panel shows 30 days storage.

It is a lot more work, but since your date rate is low, could you pack data into a stored string containing (time, temp, humidity) triples, then move them to a new feed every month? Need to unpack everything. Probably more work than it is worh, and goes against the idea.
There are other free services, but none with the clean interface and sample programming support that io gives.
