Can someone give an introduction to Adafruit.io?

by tkinsman on Mon May 21, 2018 11:54 pm

I get the impression that Adafruit.io is for the Internet of Things (IoT).
I haven't done any programming with this yet.

Is there a "Hello World" for using this?

Is there an overview document for using Adafruit.io?

Suppose I just want to log my the local temperature whenever I'm near a WiFi.
What would I need to do?

What are the costs?

I could use an "Introduction-to" document.

Best to get up to speed with the Basics series https://learn.adafruit.com/series/adafruit-io-basics
They have a free service and a pay service upgrade if you need more feeds.

Is there an "overview document" that should be used as a starting point?
