a. Is the issue at my router and internet feed
b. Has the pi failed in running the program
c. Is the issue with Adafruit.IO and their server
d. Where to begin tracking this down.

I'm not sure where this happened, but I'd like to help narrow it down.

a. Don't know. You can check your router's logs to see if it went down.
b. I think this is the most likely culprit. Try checking the log files (/var/log/messages, /var/log/syslog, /var/log/dmesg) and searching for the day it went down.
c. No incidents have been reported for November 2018. You can check Adafruit IO status and be alerted if the service goes down, here: https://status.adafruit.com/

Thanks, all good leads. I have two other Pi's one running and APRS client and the other an ADSB receiver for Flightaware. Neither has reported an outage so I'll check the logs on the router, but I think it is doing fine. I had set the Adafruit.Io server to send me an email if it does not hear from the pi for over half an hour. I never did get notified. So it appears to not be working for me.

Thanks much

Well after 33 days the feed stopped. The pi is still running and WiFi connection in tact. Also note that I have my feed set to notify me if my has traffic for half an hour. I never got a notice. Is this feature discontinued?

The notifications/triggers are currently disabled in IO for security reasons.

Ok good to know. At this point I am convinced that there an issue with the sensor. Possibly a bad connection between it and the board. I will build another sensor and see if that works any better.

Thanks

The IO Team added a Feed Status update yesterday if you'd like to try it out.

Navigate to your feed. You'll notice there's an status indicator on the feed, showing it's ONLINE.

If you click the feed status, you'll be able to set an email alert.

A new sensor was installed today and appears to be working. I do have a spare Pizero to replace the board if need be. I have also soldered connections from the sensor to the board. I am positing that if any one of the three connections to the sensor were disrupted, then possibly the whole program will stop but of course not the board itself. At this point I can do some test to check this concept out.
