AdaFruit.IO LoRa 433/868/915MHz RPI Field gateway

by BrynHLewis on Tue Mar 12, 2019 6:05 am

Hi all,

I run classes at a couple of local schools where students build IoT enabled projects.

I have been running a LoRa (Not LoRaWAN) telemetry gateway for Adafruit.IO on Windows 10 IoT Core for months with close to 100% uptime (just reboots for patching in the early AM NZT). I also have prebuild installers plus source at
https://github.com/KiwiBryn/AdaFruitIO. ... teway.LoRa

The code is intentionally simplified (limited message packing, automagic provisioning, simple protocol) as high school students are my target users.

The gateway uses my C# stack for Semtech SX127X devices code

I have just added support for the AdaFruit LoRa Bonnet

I have more than a dozen different sample clients
Arduino using Dragino, elecrow and MakerFabs shields
Netduino using Dragino, elecrow and MakerFabs shields
Maduino
IoTNet
IoTMCU915
AdaFruit Feather M0
Elecrow 32u4 with LoRa RFM95 IoT Boatd
M2M Low power LoRaWan Node Model A328
M2M Low power LoRaWan Node Model B1284
Wisen Whisper Node LoRa
Dragino LoRa Mini Dev
SparkFun Pro RF LoRa 915MHz
Motenino M0
Arduino MKR1300 WAN
Arduino Nano with EasySensors RFM69/95 Shield
Wisen Whisper Node-LoRa 915MHz

With end to end samples on Hackster.IO and my blog

I'm working on an MQTT LoRa field gateway so I can do D2C and C2D messaging
