Torque strength of USB Cable wire 907

Hi ADAFRUIT Team,

Could you please support to let me know about your torque streng (Max) apply on screw M3 of part USB Cable wire 907.

We do not have any information on the mechanical properties of the screws. The screws are there for simple cable-retention. They are not intended as load-bearing members.

We facing an issue the plastic can't hold the nut not well with torque force 63 cNm. Could check and give us you part strength with torque force. Thanks Viet

Since these were not designed as structural parts, there are no specifications for the structural properties.

Common practice for retaining screws is to tighten them 1/8 turn beyond 'finger tight' - which translates to approximately 10-15 cNm.
If loosening due to vibration is a concern, thread-locking compounds can be used.
