Screen on Smart Bartender

by SamBar on Wed Jan 29, 2020 6:02 am

I've been trying to set up an Adafruit SSD1306 128X64 display to run a smart bartender but I'm having real trouble setting up the display.

On startup, the screen has an array of white dots on the black background and I'm unsure on how to get it showing my menus and such.

I've been following this tutorial so far https://github.com/Joe2824/Smart-Bartender but have had no luck with it.

I've also tried running it through circuit python but am unsure how to get this going also.

As a complete rookie at this, I would appreciate any and all help as it's the last stage of this project and is driving me crazy!

Have you read the Monochrome OLED guide? https://learn.adafruit.com/monochrome-oled-breakouts

I've done some work with these displays.:

This one uses a simple menu system to navigate an SD card filesystem.
