ESP8266 Huzzah + FeatherWing - RFM95W Deep Sleep

by Kevin192291 on Sat May 16, 2020 12:54 pm

Hello, I am attempting to use both the esp8266 huzzah and the lora featherwing and be able to put the
esp into deep sleep. However, whenever it attempt this, the esp just goes into a boot loop.
Without the Lora Featherwing everything works great. The second I put the feather wing on. Things go wrong.
At first, I had thought that I had the wiring correct as per the instructions:
#define RFM95_CS 2 // "E"
#define RFM95_RST 16 // "D"
#define RFM95_INT 15 // "B"

I thought by connecting RST to pin 16 on the LORA feather wing, that would give me the connection, but it doesn't.
Adding a wire from RST to pin 16 causes the boot loop.

Do I need to change the wring config on the feather from rst -> 16 to something like rst -> 13?
Also just a quick fyi, when i talk pins, I am talking about their arduino mappings, not the actual in numbers.

Thanks for the help, This problem is really bugging me.
