What board would I use for instant on/off with WiFi?

by Alligator on Wed Jul 08, 2020 1:43 pm

I have a project where I’d like to switch a microcontroller on and off with a switch. That rules out a Raspberry Pi because it is not instant on or off. I also need the controller to have Wi-Fi, so if I used an Arduino, I’d need a shield. Are there any recommendations for other boards? I’ve used the Particle photon, but I’d like to try something different this time. Thoughts?

The Feather Huzzah32 may be what you're looking for. It's programable using Arduino and can handle deep-sleep/low-power power modes
