Faster IO server speed request

by cockroach1 on Thu Jan 07, 2021 11:35 am

I am currently at the maxed-out server speed of 290 spm, but would prefer a much higher speed for a human muscle electromyogram measuring experiment over the internet. 60,000 spm would be ideal (1000 Hz). Can I be put in contact with someone at sales or engineering to see if this is possible?

Hi, I'm not sure what spm refers to. You may want to switch to a self-hosted server to remove any latency for your experiments, or a faster transport protocol.

Sorry - spm means "samples per minute." The free version is 30 spm, the $100 version is 60 spm, and if you pay more, you can max out at 290 spm, or approximately 4.8 Hz (samples per second). I am really pushing the limits of the server here, and would prefer 1000 Hz (or 60,000 spm). I do not know if that is possible with the Adafruit server - Do you have any recommendations?

You may purchase data rate boosts. Data Rate can be boosted in 10 points per minute increments for $2 per month or $24 per year.
