Hi Gang
I've two weather stations. They are identical in both hardware and software. They publish humidity, temperature, wind direction and wind speed every fifteen minutes. The second weather station however stops publishing wind direction outside the hours of approximately 9AM to 4PM (AEST). I've tried replacing the PCB, microcontroller (Arduino Nano 33 IoT) and wind direction sensor with no change. I'm beginning to wonder whether there may be a problem the other end? Is there a data limit with adafruit IO? Is there an issue with that specific feed? Any help would be really appreciated.

Re: RE: Weather Stations
An Adafruit IO+ account gives you 60 data points per minute. The free account gives you 30. If you exceed that you get throttled. How often are your systems posting data?

Hi dastels
Thanks for getting back to me. Each weather station is publishing humidity, temperature, wind direction and wind speed every fifteen minutes.

The average rate isn't a problem. I wonder if there's a finer granularity limit. What happens if you put some time between posts spacing them out a bit?

Hi dastels
I've changed both units to publish every thirty minutes. Let's see what happens.

Hi dastels
I know it's only been a couple of hours but it's not looking promising. I'll let it run twenty four hours and see what happens. Any other thoughts?

Hi dastels
Currently each weather station publishes four to six bytes every thirty minutes.

Hi dastels
As usual the weather station had started publishing wind direction at 9AM.

Re: RE: Weather Stations
So 4 posts in a row. You could try spacing out those 4 posts.

Hi dastels
I tried placing a delay between publishing each feed but still no joy. I ended up opening the wind direction sensor yesterday afternoon in desperation. There was an IC had not been soldered and was literally sitting on the PCB. Since addressing this issue it appears to works. No wonder I'm getting more and more grey hair!
Thanks for all your help.
Cheers
