Adafruit IO support

by Keebie81 on Sun Aug 23, 2015 4:58 pm

Can we get a new forum for adafruit.io questions? Or is there one we should be using. I am having an issue with setting up a line chart. It wants to grab both feed data and not just the one I pick. It only seems to happen if try to make the Hours of history more than 1

The line charts are certainly buggy yet. I think you might have solved (hours of history causing duplicate feeds) an issue I haven't been able to reproduce though, so hopefully I can put in some more fixes.

I'm currently working through the line chart code right now. I'll let you know as soon as I deploy fixes for your particular issue. It could be a few days yet.

Thanks!

Thanks for the update.

I have also noticed that when it double feeds if I click the gear icon and then just select create block it removes the other feed then.

I checked this out early on. It looked GREAT! So I bought all the boards, sensors, etc. that I wanted to get started with. Finally, I relocated the tutorials and began. When I got to the Adafruit.io part, I went to the page link, clicked the icon, and the icon disappeared. I was surprised that there was no feedback, message, email... So how do I set up my account now?

Also, it would be nice to list the key in the My Account section too.

Hi, Adafruit IO is in a closed beta right now. That being said, it looks like your account was added this morning for the beta. You should have received an email with more details.

Thanks for your interest!

Help with beta account.

I can not access the adafruit.io Beta.

Can you let me know what is needed to start working with it.

Thanks,

Hey Rik,

I think we need a few more details on what isn't working for you. Can you paste any error messages or anything else that could help debug the issue?

Thanks!

Hi - thanks for getting back to me. I am using the link provided to me in my Beta invite: https://io.adafruit.com/

When I used it before I would be taken to my "DASHBOARD".

Now I can only get to Adafruit IO Coming Soon Screen and can not get to my "DASHBOARD" at all.

You have two accounts in IO. One has access, the other does not. Please try both of your accounts to see which one it is.

Thanks - I was not aware I have two accounts. I will need to figure what the other one is now.

I am anxious to get started with Adafruit IO and submitted my request to be included in the Beta group. Do you have any idea how long it will take before I am either accepted to the Beta group, or that the system is opened for "anybody"?

I have a project in mind for monitoring and controlling my garage door, heating and light systems through the internet and the Adafruit IO appears to be the simplest method for doing this - especially for someone with little, to no experience with handling data over the internet!

Many thanks for your time and effort - this looks like a perfect solution to many issues!

Hoping to get connected to the web dashboards on Afafruit.io. Can I get connected with a display site?
