ESP8266 doesn't connect anymore

by nramond on Wed Nov 18, 2015 4:43 am

Greetings,

I have bought a esp8266 for monitoring the health of a green things.
I followed this tutorial -> https://learn.adafruit.com/home-automat ... dafruit-io.
It worked fine during several days. But now it wouldn't connect to io.adafruit.
I have this message on the serial console :
WiFi connected
IP address:
192.168.1.36
Connecting to Adafruit IO... Connection failed

As I didn't change anything, I think the main problem is on the server-side.
I looked at this post viewtopic.php?f=56&t=83943 but I'm not sure what I have to do.
I changed the MQTT library in Arduino but something tells me that I have to change something in the code.

Could you provide some more information about that problem, I'm sure you will help other people too.
And maybe you could update the tutorial too. Thanks again.

I connected yesterday with a Huzzah ESP, and am still sending data every 5 minutes this afternoon, IO is up and running. I'm using the temp/humidity sketch you linked to.

Has anything changed in your code?
Has anything changed in your wifi/router setup?
While you are getting the failed connection messages, can you still ping the ESP on your network?

Well, I'm no fool.
I'm sure that something has been modified on the server because now it's working.
I have made no modification since my last post.
