Is throttling based on feeds or account? Seeing what looks l

by pellico on Mon Jan 11, 2016 1:35 pm

I have 2 feeds, one with a barometric pressure and the other contains the barometric pressure/val to get inches of water. These are sent from a python script with a 20 second delay between the two send() calls. What I see is that the first send(out) is often returning True but the 2nd send(out/3.39..) is often failing and the exception handler is catching it. But sometimes both send() calls are successful.

I can put code in to alternate the send() calls but wanted to know what's the current policy on this?
Thanks.

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
kPa: 102.32
 in: 30.22
send(out) TRUE
send(out/3.39) TRUE
kPa: 102.32
 in: 30.22
send(out) TRUE
aio.send() error
SLEEPING / RETRY
kPa: 102.32
 in: 30.22
send(out) TRUE
aio.send() error
SLEEPING / RETRY

 in: 30.22
send(out) TRUE
send(out/3.39) TRUE

aio.send() error
SLEEPING / RETRY

Throttling is per account right now. Your feeds all share the same throttle 'pool'.

ok so it sounds like we'll need to put some round robin mechanisms in place on our side. Thanks.

We've also made some changes to throttling. Try again, you might be OK today.

With a 20 second delay between sends to two different feeds it is now working. At least it did 3 times.
I'm still going to put back the round robin code though.
