MQTT Connections are very slow

by krambriw on Wed Mar 16, 2016 8:47 am

It was possible to fix on my side. What worked earlier did for some reason not any longer. Anyway, got it now
Thanks!

Hello,
Since this nights problem with MQTT connections, you state that the issue is solved. Partly true but now instead it takes roughly 5 minutes to establish a connection after a connection attempt. See log from my implementation below

Kind regards, Walter

Hello,
I wrote a plugin in Python for the automation software EventGhost. My latest version seems now to work very stable and handles eventual re-connections (io.adafruit.com has not required such the last days).

Here is a link to EventGhost forum
http://eventghost.net/forum/

This is the topic where my plugin is described and there is a link where you can download it including the source code. Please be aware that I have modified the Adafruit_IO library to support Python 2.6. The modified library is also included in the download package

Kind regards, Walter
