old data not visible? (python)

by sanghoku on Fri May 20, 2016 10:28 am

hi,
i managed to create a feed and publish data to it using the python guides:
aio.send('Temperature', 98.6)

i see the graph on the dashboard and it's updating nicely.
however, when i close my browser and revisit the dashboard, all previous data is gone and the graph just starts from scratch.
isn't the old data retained serverside? i don't have the browser open all the time, but would like to see temps & humidity from the last few hours when i visit the dashboard?

could you check out the feeds page here: https://io.adafruit.com/feeds

click on the feed name to see if there is history available. it's possible your dashboard block isn't setup to show history.

oooooh... i see now...

hours of data:
0 is for real time - starting off at the moment you open the browser?
9999999 is for a long time of history ...

any other specialities? do decimals work for say 30mins?

currently only integers will work, but feel free to post a feature request if you need history in minutes: https://github.com/adafruit/io-issues/issues
