Feather and Raspberry Pi over WiFi

by Tbot1000 on Wed Jul 11, 2018 5:56 pm

Hello, I am working on a project that takes sensor data on a Feather M0 WiFi, and sends it to a Raspberry Pi Zero and displays it on a web page. Posting information is simple enough on the Feather, because I work with Arduino a lot, but I am not sure how to either read the data off the web page using an RPi or transmit information directly. Thank You for any help.

The easiest way to handle that is to have the webserver provide the information the microcontroller wants as a textfile.

Either write the data to a file explicitly, and give it a name like 'feather-data.txt' or write CGI code that uses 'Content-type: text/plain' to generate output. Either way, you get a URL the Feather can load that will return just the data you need, with little extraneous formatting to wade through.

Also, can I hook up a Thunder Click https://www.mikroe.com/thunder-click to the feather using SPI? Also, How would that be wired? It runs on an AS3935 chip. If not, are there any other lightning breakout boards?
