So just to make sure right now we are focusing just on the switch ont he block correct? Did we confirm the no sound as being an issue? Asking because like i said if I use another music maker I can hear sound

Correct. Just trying to figure out what caused this behavior:
which doesn't seem related to the Wing. So idea is to just run a simple blink test and then see if you can recreate the hang up.Block doesnt work at all and if you use the switch it causes the whole setup to glitch and the feather hangs.

I'll check the voltage to see if I am getting power to the block when using the blink script

OK with everything mounted and blinky running I am not able to get a voltage from the block. I checked USB to ground and 3.3v to ground nothing gives me a read out.

You are making these measurements directly on the Terminal Block FeatherWing? Where exactly? The screw terminals? The header pins? Somewhere on the prototype area?

Re: Music Maker FeatherWing not playing music
I have tried several points along the path. I get voltage on the header pins of the feather but nothing at an point on the block.

Re: Music Maker FeatherWing not playing music
So it's like the Feather pins are not connecting down into the terminal block Wing?

it seems like it but they are seated to the max. I cannot insert them any further.

That's very odd. If I'm understanding where these measurements are being made. Assuming your soldering is OK, then it seems internal to the DuPont connectors.

Yeah the soldering is fine. I tried to even reflow just in case and no changes.

Total mystery. At this point it seems like you can not even get continuity between two connected header pins.

Re: Music Maker FeatherWing not playing music
Let me know whats next. It seems the feather is ok but music maker is not and the block isnt either. I mean with the feather the other issue i faced is the spare music maker Ihad the right channel now has a buzzing it didnt have prior to introducing it tot he mix. So not sure if the feather might be the root cause to this. really thought this would be plug-n-play not plug-n-pray lol

Re: Music Maker FeatherWing not playing music
So do we try to RMA the Music maker and the block for now and test with the feather?

Re: Music Maker FeatherWing not playing music
Try switching to a continuity check instead of voltage check. Remove the Music Maker Wing. Have just the Feather mounted on the Terminal block. Remove all power and any other connections. Go pin by pin between the Feather header pins and the corresponding pins the Terminal block. Do they all fail continuity? Only some? If, so which ones?
