Musicmaker power issues

by BenWolf on Wed Jun 16, 2021 1:46 pm

I have connected a musicmaker feather to a M0 Basic Proto. It works with the test software, reads the sd card and plays music. However, I've noticed that when the musicmaker board is connected the 3.3 V pin (and any digital outputs) go from around 3.3V to 3.7V. The proto is powered via the 5V USB. There's nothing else connected and header solder joints looks fine. This is a real concern as I don't want to damage the boards (although they appear to be functional for now) and I need to use the music maker in a battery powered applcation so need to minimise quiescent current. Is there a fault on my musicmaker board?

Just to be sure - the 3V pins reads 3.3V *without* the FeatherWing attached? But then attach the FeatherWing and same pin reads 3.7V? No other changes.
