PIXEL LOSS ON FEATHERWING OLEDS

We are experiencing an unexpected quality problem in several installed products using the Featherwing OLED. The displays are losing contrast in many of the dot elements, causing the characters to appear faint and non-continuous after several hour of use.
Has Adafruit found this problem from other customers? Does the BANNED Systech SSD1306Z driver or the univision Technology UG-2832HSWEG02 display have a history of life expectancy issues?
Please respond so that our customer installed base can be advised of plans to resolve this issue. I have also submitted this information to [email protected].

As a reply to my own post -- I have found the Univision specification which states a life of 10K hours under normal room temperature. It is now obvious that this display cannot be left ON continuously, but rather it must be turned on for perhaps 1 minute upon receiving a user requested input. This would greatly extend the pixel life beyond the 10K hours glow time.

Correct. That's a general, and known, issue with OLEDs.
