M0/Feather Enable pin not working

by ladyalton415 on Mon Sep 27, 2021 10:27 pm

Hi,

I am using a Feather M0 and Music Maker Featherwing together and getting weird power issues.

The product links are:
Music Maker https://www.adafruit.com/product/3436
Feather M0 https://www.adafruit.com/product/2772

I have tried 3 different M0s and 3 different Music Makers and each time I connect the Music Maker to the M0 the voltage goes up even when it is off. Voltage fluctuates between 3.0v and 3.5v when on and 2.5v and 3.0v when off. I have the boards connected to a breadboard for testing and an external battery via the micro USB for power. When I connect the ground and enable pins to power it off, the voltage on the 3v pin does not get below 2.5v and my project will not turn off. This only happens to the M0 when a Music Maker is attached, otherwise, it behaves normally.

Have you double and triple checked your wiring between the two boards?

There are stacking female headers soldered on the M0 and the male headers that came with the Music Maker are soldered to it. I had another person check it as well. If you think it will help I can upload photos when I get back to my office tomorrow.

I have attached a photo of my test setup if that helps. Any advice is appreciated.
