Not seeing version 1.0.0 in the board manager for nRF52

Post by kotarak »

Hey guys,
the Boards Manager in the Arduino IDE only shows Adafruit nRF52 up to version 0.24.
On GitHub (https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_nR ... o/releases) it shows that version 1.0.0 was released.
How do I update automatically and why the Boards Manager is unaware of the update?
Thank you in advance!

Which release of the Arduino IDE are you running?

Do you have this in place?

Arduino --> Preferences --> Additional Boards Manager URLs:
https://adafruit.github.io/arduino-boar ... index.json

I'm running v1.8.13 of the Arduino IDE (MacOS) and I can see the Adafruit nRF52 up to 1.1.0.

Thank you for your reply - yes, I have the JSON file set in the Preferences.
I am running Arduino IDE 1.8.12 and I only see up to version 0.24 for nRF52

@kotarak,

Can you post a screenshot of your Board Manager view like mine? The version you are currently running will now show up in the drop down. v1.1.0 is now current.

You could also rename your Arduino folder and install the current release which is 1.8.16 for the Arduino IDE.
