Adafruit Feather nRF52840 Sense - Power consumption

by nastasev on Tue Jan 18, 2022 2:36 am

Hello,

I'm trying to build a wearable prototype using Adafruit Feather nRF52840 Sense & a 550mA LiPo accumulator.

The issue I've noticed is that the current draw of an empty suspendLoop() firmware is 8.1 mA. Couldn't find any way to decrease this (playing with various flags, deactivating various sensors).

Can you please tell me if this is by design or there is a firmware trick I'm missing or a hardware component that is getting that power? I was looking at the QSPI flash GD25Q16C as a possible culprit but couldnt find a way to test it.

Thanks!
Virgil
