Huzzah 32 error blink codes?

Post by lh2000 »

Hello,
I just received my Huzzah ESP32 Feather last week and I've been scouring the forums and Internet about it..
When I plug it into my Mac or PC it doesn't register as a device.
The Chg light flickers and the other LED (by #13) does 5 blinks, a few second delay and repeats.
Pressing the reset button will interrupt the blinks, but it immediately starts again.

I can find nothing about this blink code. There is no program loaded since it doesn't register as a device.

Any ideas? Bad card? No documentation?

Yes.

I also changed USB cables.
Rebooted,
Checked for hardware changes.
The Huzzah is not detected as a device.

It only does it's 5 blink code.

Can you make sure via some other means that the one your are using is not charge only? Use it with something else that needs to pass data.

Your computer does nothing? No device connected sound? Just trying to clarify if "not detected" means it's truly seeing nothing, or it sees something but then doesn't configure it correctly.

If you can - a screen shot of Device Manager on the PC would help.

You computer doesn't connect to the ESP32 directly. It connects to the CP2104, which bridges between USB and the ESP32. So you should be seeing indication of that hardware along with a com port being created.
