Adafruit Feather M0 "Halo Sword Project"

by Fizbandantalus on Fri Aug 16, 2019 2:20 pm

Have the library's and everything ready to upload to the device, however the issue I am having when trying to load the bluefruit to my m0 is the program is changing the com port. I hear windows disconnecting the device and immediatly get this error:

Arduino: 1.8.9 (Windows 10), Board: "Adafruit Feather M0, Arduino, Off"

Sketch uses 10704 bytes (4%) of program storage space. Maximum is 262144 bytes.
No device found on COM9
An error occurred while uploading the sketch

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

If the program you loaded is crashing, the USB connection will get interrupted. Try loading the Blink example. To load when the on-board program is crashing, double-click the reset button so you get a pulsing red LED, and then upload.

When you double-click, does the RED LED start pulsing ("breathing") slowly? Does it stop when the device becomes disconnected?

Have you tried another cable and port?

Do you have another computer to try this on

Do you have other Adafruit boards that work? Or is this the only board you have? We're be interested in figuring out if the problem is with the host computer or the board.

Only board I have, while plugged into usb it will glow for about 7 seconds and stop. During this time it will not let me upload the blink to it. Get the error that it cannot find the board on the selected port. Does the same on all 3 computers. USB cable is a charging and data cable

If it does connect, says that no device found on com4

Alright, let's replace it. Send an email to support@adafruit.com, saying a replacement has been authorized, and include a link to this forum thread.
