Huzzah32 IO Current Limits?

Post by Exonerd »

Greetings! I'm trying to assess using a Huzzah32 Feather for driving a small motor. I haven't been able to find the current limits of the PWM - compatible pins posted anywhere (or for the ESP32 in general). Help would be appreciated!

I did not see the current limits for the PWM in any obvious place either, but the power (amps) to drive the servo motor will come from the 5 volt connection to the motor. The PWM pin is only a low amp square wave, so it should work. Just make sure your 5 volt supply is strong enough for the size motor you select.

True, but those 5V USB grade inputs can support upwards of an amp, which I HIGHLY doubt even the whole board could tolerate as output. I'm assuming less than 50 mA per pin to be safe and don't want to experiment too much with it.
