Feather not recognised by Windows 11

Post by windslowgj »

Last week I upgraded my laptop to Windows 11 and now I can't connect my Feather FONA or a Trinket, Windows does not create a COM port. However when I connect an Arduino UNO COM 3 port is created. So why won't Windows recognize the Feather? Everything worked fine under Windows 10.

The Feather FONA 32u4 and old Trinket models could need a SiLabs driver. This was available in Windows 10, but I’m not sure about Windows 11.

Have you installed it on your Windows 11 system?

Hi Mikeysklar,

Thanks for the response, I have reinstalled the Arduino IDE and this time it worked. Must have missed a step first time round although I thought I'd followed the Adafruit instructions

Okay, thanks for the solution. I'm glad it was just an IDE issue.

I am having the same or similar trouble w/ nRF52832.
No port.

So the SiLabs CP210x driver should be installed PRIOR to the IDE?
The learning guide says after.

Thanks,
Emmett

@ebradford,

If you have not already resolved the nRF52832 detection please start a new thread so we do not miss your question.
