Feather with many Rotary Encoders?

Post by marcuspl »

Hi,

I just started a project with a Feather M4, in which I'm using 4 or 5 analog potentiometers as analog input. I'm not contemplating using rotary encoders instead, but then the limited amount of digital inputs of the Feathers would be a bottleneck. Is there a standard way to attack this, extension boards or whatever, or do I need to switch to a bigger board.

Super noob here, sorry if the answer is obvious.

Thanks

Marcus

You could offload the encoders to smaller, dedicated processors like in https://www.adafruit.com/product/4991.
