Board is fresh out of the package (new from Adafruit). I have done this on another board just like this (have circuit python running no problems). When I try using either the Web Tool or the esptool.py, I get an error indicating it can't communicate with the board.
The board shows up on my iMac (after doing the BOOT-RESET dance) as /dev/cu.usbmodem01, which is expected. But when I run esptool, either to erase flash or do a chip-id, it give "No serial data received" error. I don't recall having this problem before.
(the Webtool reports "Timed out waiting for packet header.")
I'm sure I'm foobaring this somehow - any help would be appreciated. Picture of the board attached.
