Circuit Playground Bluefruit + Crickit

by mpc823 on Fri Sep 13, 2019 5:06 pm

Are the new Circuit Playground Bluefruit boards able to work with the Crickit? I would assume at some point they would, but was wondering if the new alpha 5.0 Circuit Python would be able to support this now? I'm interested in building a robot conrtolled through Bluetooth with this board.

I would not anticipate any issues. The Crickit is simply an I2C device. Plus A0 for audio and A1 for neopixels.

For Circuit Python there is a special UF2 for the Circuit Playground Express + Crickit. I was wondering if there is also a special UF2 needed for Circuit Playground Bluefruit + Crickit. Or can the one for CP Express + Crickit be used? Or simply the regular CP Bluefruit UF2?

No, the nRF52840 has plenty of memory. The reason for the specific CPX+Crickit build is that the M0 on the CPX doesn't have room for the libraries needed unless they are builtin to the uf2.
