Hi there. I'd like to use Circuit Playground Express with a class of students that have no Internet access at all. I can load software via a USB flash drive (that's how I got Python and Visual Studio Code on there), but nothing that actually requires online access, the machines are all offline with no network or WiFi. Is Circuit Playground Express going to be usable this way?
Thanks!

Certainly, as long as you have a text editor and optionally a serial terminal program, you'll be able to program the CPX's. The Mu editor is a good choice for classroom use: https://codewith.mu.

Thanks, that is helpful. So they could use Python to code it. But not, I assume, the Scratch-esqe interface. Correct?

It could be possible, but maybe not easy, given your setup (no networking at all): https://makecode.adafruit.com/offline. You might want to ask on https://adafru.it/discord, in the #makecode channel, where MakeCode folks from Microsoft are sometimes available.
