Just an FYI if you are a new owner of a Circuit Playground Express and are feeling frustrated with Blink...

Don't spend an hour trying to figure out what is wrong because none of the circular leds blink on and off.
The blinking red light isn't a status light like on old Sun hardware, it is the built in led.

Out of frustration I tried changing the loop to read:

digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH); // turn the LED on (HIGH is the voltage level)
delay(500); // wait for a second
digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, LOW); // turn the LED off by making the voltage LOW
delay(500); // wait for a second
digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, HIGH); // turn the LED on (HIGH is the voltage level)
delay(500); // wait for a second
digitalWrite(LED_BUILTIN, LOW); // turn the LED off by making the voltage LOW
delay(4000); // wait for a second

And everything became clear. And yeah, I feel silly now, but happy that the hardware is working.

By the way, what was the code that came running by default on the Circuit Playground Express? Can I grab that anywhere?

Hello senjak,

The default code.py on the Circuit Playground Express can be obtained by doing a fresh UF2 upgrade to the latest release (which will wipe your existing CPE configuration).

Double tap the reset button and drag the latest CPE UF2 image to the CPLAYBOOT drive. You can

uf2 image from download section of CPE guide:

https://github.com/adafruit/Adafruit_Le ... deDemo.uf2

installation details:
