64x64 aray

by neelwell2 on Mon Aug 05, 2019 7:01 am

I have a 64 x 64 LED array coming is on order.
I have an Arduino mega that I’m going to connect to it.
I want the array to say the word Lucy spelled. L.U.C.I.
This is my first time programming an array how do I go about doing this?

thank you

As a matter of fact it is,
a friend of mine bought it.
I bought it from him, because he is not going to be doing anything with it because he’s doing other things, And frankly doesn’t have time,
so I bought it from him.
That’s the reason why I inquired here on atafruit, because that’s where he bought it from, he bought it from you guys.

OK, that one runs best with the RGB Matrix FeatherWing https://www.adafruit.com/product/3036 and a Feather M0 https://www.adafruit.com/product/3403 or M4 https://www.adafruit.com/product/3857

Or, a SmartLED Shield and a Teensy 3.5/3.6 as the microcontroller, or an RGB Matrix Bonnet for Raspberry Pi. You may be able to run it on the Arduino Mega, but it could be tricky, since this matrix uses a non-standard 5-address multiplexing system.

See product page for detail on those solutions. https://www.adafruit.com/product/3649

You'll want to follow this guide, https://learn.adafruit.com/32x16-32x32- ... ix/library particularly the code example at the bottom that shows how to draw text.
