Circuitpython on the ESP32-E - Firebeetle

Post by mhay »

Hello all.

I was wondering if anyone can advise me how to have circuit python running on an ESP32-E. https://www.dfrobot.com/product-2195.html

I now realize its quite a new board and has little field use, but what I have found in summary is its an an ESP-WROOM-32E-based main controller board with dual-core chips, 4MB of flash and has a Tensilica LX6 dual-core processor.

Software are ecologically compatible with both ESP32 and ESP32-E, except for minor changes in pin mapping, so the same as normal ESP32 Firebeetle.

I have it running micropython, but I am going to use the pca9685 and circuit python has the built in library's for this.

Is there a version of circuit python anyone can suggest to try?

Thanks

We don't currently have CircuitPython for the ESP32 because it lacks a builtin USB peripheral.
