by codenio on Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:55 am

Hi,

I am trying to program [Sony Spresence](https://circuitpython.org/board/spresense/) board using Circuitpython. I am unable to find ways to install external libraries like OpenCV and Mediapipe by surfing the internet. kindly help. thanks in advance.

Unfortunately desktop Python libraries may not work in CircuitPython. Many are limited due to the amount of RAM available in CircuitPython and others with native code internally will not work on a microcontroller. (I suspect this is the case for OpenCV.) I'd recommend looking into OpenMV which is MicroPython and has brought much of OpenCV to microcontrollers.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
cant we use CircUp to install custom-developed libraries into Circuitpython..?

You can copy libraries onto the CIRCUITPY drive to "install" them. Only pure Python libraries that use supported built in modules will work though. CircuitPython is a subset of CPython. That means CircuitPython libraries should work in CPython but not the necessarily the reverse.
