Returning Feather to Stock Firmware..?

by Quantum_Star on Wed Aug 02, 2017 6:30 pm

Hello fellow hackers!

I want to load MicroPython on my Feather Huzzah, but I would like the option to return to the Arduino IDE. Once MicroPython is loaded, what would I have to do in order to return it to its 'stock' firmware to use the Arduino IDE..?

You just need to upload a new Arduino sketch. :-) It might require you to trigger the bootloader manually but my guess is that it won't.

Scott,

Thanks!

I wanted to try this out, but honestly it's been a hassle so far. I'll keep messing with it, but I'll probably just wait until it's out of Beta since even the 'Hello World' tutorial on here doesn't work unless you change "HIGH" to "ON" (which, turns my onboard LED off for some reason).

Thanks again,

Wesley

Hi Wesley,
Try CircuitPython instead! All of our new tutorials are geared towards it. Download it from here and flash it like you did micropython. Then use AMPY to load code or the REPL directly. (link) The blinky at the bottom of this page should work.

Cheers,
Scott
