Exacamera SPIDriver & CircuitPython

by CTDay on Fri Feb 07, 2020 3:34 pm

I have an Exacamera Labs SPIDriver board. (Also an I2CDriver board.) They look like great bus debugging tools, but the software for them seems to be only very low level bus commands. The only way to talk to them seems to be USB. This appears to mean that I can’t use them as feed-through monitoring tools for my CircuitPython code. There is a mismatch between the high level protocol of the CircuitPython Bus Device module and the physical level protocol of the Exacamera driver software. Is my understanding correct? Is there some software someplace I’ve missed that couples the two? Otherwise I can’t really test how my code interacts with the bus. Thanks.

Would you mind linking to the Exacamera code? I'm not familiar with it. Is it running on Linux? How are you using CircuitPython? Are you really just using the libraries?

Thanks!
