Stage library on M4 using a generic ST7735 TFT screen

by ocpBerlin on Tue Apr 07, 2020 9:46 am

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to install the stage library for developing games on a M4 feather express connected to a ST7735 128x160 TFT screen. If yes, where can I find the library and a tutorial? The information I found on the Adafruit website appears to be related to the PyGame platform.

Thanks,

Oscar.

A component of stage is built into CircuitPython so you need to rebuild CircuitPython for the Feather (instructions here: https://learn.adafruit.com/building-circuitpython ) and enable the module (similar to this: https://github.com/adafruit/circuitpyth ... ard.mk#L42 )

You could also try using displayio which should be built in: https://learn.adafruit.com/circuitpytho ... -displayio

Ok, we decided to use the displayio library and work with tiles and groups. It works quite well! Thanks.
