TouchScreen on Pyportal Titano

by TxPvCoach on Wed Apr 15, 2020 8:35 pm

When i run this to test my touchscreen functionality.It just prints tuple after tuple and only the z-pressure changes. Do i have a bad touchscreen ? Should i only get output when touchscreen is touched? Any ideas or further tests to carry out

Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
import board
import adafruit_touchscreen

touchscreen = adafruit_touchscreen.Touchscreen(
    board.TOUCH_XL,
    board.TOUCH_XR,
    board.TOUCH_YD,
    board.TOUCH_YU,
    # calibration=((9000, 59000), (8000, 57000)),
    # resistance=None
    size=(board.DISPLAY.width, board.DISPLAY.height),
)

while True:
    point_being_touched = touchscreen.touch_point
    if point_being_touched:
        print(
            'Touch at (%s, %s) Pressure: %s' %
            (point_being_touched[0],
             point_being_touched[1],
             point_being_touched[2]),
        )

Reseat The Cable for Display and Touch Screen
Pull the two black tabs at the ends of the connector toward the slot to release the cable, pull the cable all the way out of the connector, then put it back in making sure it goes all the way in, all the way across. Then push the black tabs back to re-clamp the cable.
