CircuitPython and source control (Git)

by themdrnsamurai on Thu Apr 16, 2020 4:35 pm

Hey all!

So what are folks doing to keep CirPy code under git? It seems like madness to have to work right off the USB drive, and once things get little complicated copying files by hand is error-prone. So I made a folder on disk, and want to use a gulp watch() task to copy to the device on change, but that currently has some challenges ( https://stackoverflow.com/questions/612 ... dows-error. ).

How are others handling this challenge?

Ken

Hi hi, my workflow is to iterate on the CIRCUITPY disk and copy the file back to my git tree once I have it working. I rely on my editor to save me if the CIRCUITPY device disappears.
