Writing to eeprom of MCP4725

by ChristophG on Mon May 04, 2020 8:01 am

Hi,
can I write to the EEPROM of the MCP4725 with the python library?
I want to set/change the default startup value.

For the Arduino case it is clearly described. I can not find any information for the python code though.

We are running the MCP4725 on an RPI 3+ (running on Ubuntu)

Thx
Chris

That functionality has not been added to the CircuitPython driver.

You can request that it be added at the address below, however there are no current plans to add it at this point

Hi,
I was in the wrong forum I see. I was working with python, not CircuitPython. For Python I found the solution in the meantime.

Based on MCP4725.py I figured, that into the EEPROM is written by setting
Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
persist=True
in the
Code: Select all | TOGGLE FULL SIZE
set.voltage
command.

For me this seems to work.
