Working on CircuitPython Twitter Viewer

by vcampos2017 on Thu May 14, 2020 4:27 pm

Following the tutorial for https://learn.adafruit.com/twitter-api-use CircuitPython Twitter Viewer Using the Twitter AP. for Pyportal from a previos Adabox kit.

What is causing the following error?

no module named 'adafruit_esp32spi.adafruit_esp32spi_request'

The libraries are installed for Circuit Pythonhttps://circuitpython.org/board/pyportal/

Has anyone completed this project successfully?

Please start by downloading the zip found on this page for CircuitPython 5.x, titled "PyPortal 5.x Demo Files": https://learn.adafruit.com/adabox011/up ... r-pyportal

Note - the 4.x zip is there for posterity to contain the files the board shipped with. You want the updated 5.x one.

The newer version of CircuitPython has updates to it that require more libraries than it originally did.

Start there, and see if it resolves your issue.

Thanks for the information.

Followed all the steps and started over from the beginning with a fresh install, but still receiving the error message:

no module named 'adafruit_esp32spi.adafruit_esp32spi_request'

The adafruit_esp32.spi is in the lib directory, so replaced with the lastest version from GitHub, but still receiving the error.

The practice apps for quotes runs without any issues.

Any other areas I might have overlooked?

Thanks again!

Tried the tutorial for thePyPortal Quarantine Clock and it works without any issues. Might try a few others.
