chips .py contains line BCM_RANGE = {"BCM2708", "BCM2709", "BCM2711", "BCM2835", "BCM2837"}

Why isn't BCM2836 included? Queried in chip.py. Makes no difference?

Thanks

Robert

Can you include more context? What/where is chip.py? What file or driver are you talking about?

I'm not too familiar with the internals of the platform detect package but I would assume it's not needed to support the Pi 2B. If you're curious you can always keep digging in the code to see how it's working.
